Integrative
I trained at The Minster Centre, completing both an Advanced Diploma and a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy, both of which are UKCP accredited courses. With a background of over ten years of working with vulnerable young people and their families across London, I have has worked therapeutically in a variety of settings including hospitals, prisons, GP clinics, schools, in the community and in private practice.
I have a diverse background and was schooled in the U.K. and Portugal. Following this, I completed my Honours B.A. in Developmental Studies from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada. My longstanding interests in different cultures and countries have led me to work in Portugal, Costa Rica, Israel and Canada. I have travelled throughout Europe, Central America and North Africa. My appreciation of diversity and our human connectedness brings this sense of discovery to the one-to-one adventure of psychotherapy.
My aim is to provide an environment of curiosity, honesty and care, where a person can become more aware of their habitual patterns and learn to address them in new ways. With a relational and flexible approach, I will respect the differences between us, and the range of difficulties people come to therapy with. My belief is that our emotional lives shape and lead the other parts of ourselves, and our job in therapy is to bring these feelings and thoughts into clarity.
Therapy is not about making a problem, fear, trauma or loss go away, but rather, learning to live with it in a new way.
