My Approach

I naturally offer a compassionate and non-judgmental space. Together, we will build trust and co-create an environment where, each week, you feel safe and supported to explore whatever brings you to therapy.

Confidentiality is deeply embedded into my work, regarding what is spoken in sessions and what is communicated in other ways e.g. telephone and email. As an ICO-registered data controller, I take the protection of your privacy and personal information seriously.

There are many areas of self, and of life, that I can support you with. However, here are a few of my areas of interest:

Depression, anxiety
Neurodivergent conditions, including ADHD and Autism (ASD)
Relationship difficulties
Childhood bullying
Loneliness and a sense of isolation
Emotional neglect, and Self-esteem building
Trauma/ traumatic experiences
Fatherhood, Parenthood
IVF and fertility
Working with men, and masculinity
Anger
Living with a chronic health condition
Grief, death and dying

If you would like to see how it feels to meet and share a little about yourself, I offer initial sessions at the rate of £65 for up to 45 minutes. Should you decide to book in beyond this, ongoing sessions would be 60 minutes and at the same time each week. If you would prefer to talk first on the phone, please do get in touch and we can arrange a time to hold a brief conversation (up to 15 minutes) at no charge.

About Me

Hi there, and welcome. I’m Rob.

Time in therapy with me will bring increased self awareness, aims to increase self acceptance and self confidence. It will support you to know more fully what you are feeling and thinking, giving you increased clarity, instilling a greater sense of agency in your life. The possible impacts of these are widely varied - greater connections in your life, joy and happiness, liking or rediscovering yourself, gaining a sense of freedom, finding calm and peace in your life.

I trained to become a psychotherapist because, throughout my NHS career in physical health, I increasingly saw a natural ability to connect meaningfully with people. I noticed that I remained consistently curious about their lives, their struggles, and the barriers keeping them from moving toward their goals and the life they wished for.

Before training as a therapist, I worked for many years as an NHS physiotherapist. It was here that I began noticing the connections between mind and body more and more, in ever-deepening ways. This alongside my own personal journey in therapy and a developing Buddhist practice, led me to train in Core Process Psychotherapy—one of the original mindfulness-based, body-oriented and trauma-focused training programs.

In addition to my private practice in London (King's Cross / Islington), I work within an NHS Talking Therapies service supporting clients experiencing depression, anxiety, and often severe emotional distress. I have also spent considerable time working in palliative care within a hospice setting, giving me deeper insight into grief, bereavement, chronic illness, and dying.
