When we feel stuck, it can be hard to know what to do next and we can begin to doubt ourselves and no longer trust our judgment. It’s at times like these when talking things through can be potentially really helpful.
I’ve been working as a therapist for many years and what still particularly inspires me are those moments when people begin to realise that they have found a way forward in their lives.
The turning point so often occurs when they begin to see things with more clarity. It's like a mist clearing, and when it does, they tend to find that the path forward, the one which they couldn't previously see, had been there all the time.
I am available to meet for long term or time limited therapy, and we can discuss which modality might best suit your needs during an initial session.
I began my private practice back in 1998 shortly after completing my training and gaining accreditation with the UKCP. I have been working with people from my garden office at my home in High Barnet now since 2006.
Shortly after graduating, I began teaching at The School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology at Regents College (now University) and at The New School of Psychotherapy where I remained a tutor for many years. I have also worked extensively in the public sector where I managed counselling services for Turning Point and Westminster Drug Project.
I have a master's degree in psychotherapy and counselling and an advanced diploma in existential psychotherapy from Regents College which I gained back in the nineteen nineties. More recently I gained a diploma in Viktor Frankl's existentially informed Logotherapy at the Viktor Frankl Institute of Ireland.
