Hello. We all experience times when we need help. Perhaps relationships are a struggle, or work is stressful, or things just don't feel right. Maybe you aren't feeling good or are experiencing anxiety or depression or trauma. Perhaps you are looking to reach your potential.
Psychotherapy offers an effective way to take these sort of matters in hand. My approach is to use my skills and experience to help you to get from where you are now to where you may want to be. I will to guide you and assist you to heal and to grow. You can share your issues and burdens with me and I will be alongside you in your difficulties.
I offer a safe space where you can speak whatever is on your mind without feeling judged. It can be really helpful to be properly listened to and to express your concerns. We can work together to untangle your thoughts and feelings, and improve how you cope, and help you to be confident in your capabilities.
I believe the therapeutic relationship between a client and a therapist is very important, as that enables us to talk and to work together. I am an integrative therapist, that means I use different types of therapy as best suited to you and your unique needs.
As a person I am warm and approachable and supportive. One reason I became a therapist is because, in a volunteer role, I really liked listening to people and what concerned them. Before becoming a therapist I worked in different roles, and the life lessons I learnt through facing my own challenges and difficulties are very helpful to being a therapist.
With Covid-19 I now mainly focus on on-line therapy (video or phone). I find this works well for many clients. I am happy to discuss with you the practicalities of on line therapy. I also practice in Hall Green, Birmingham.
