Many men seek therapy because they're experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, difficulties in relationships, challenges with self-esteem, or a sense of being stuck or overwhelmed. I aim to create a supportive, confidential space where you can explore what’s happening and how change might be possible.
Therapy offers space to reduce stress and find coping mechanisms. Together, we can explore what’s happening right now and how past experiences or self-beliefs may be shaping your reactions. I help men develop resilience, clearer self-understanding, and healthier ways of relating to others — at work and in relationships.
I'm an integrative psychotherapist based in Central London and online. I trained at The Minster Centre, one of the UK’s leading institutes for counselling and psychotherapy. Before retraining, I worked in marketing, photojournalism, and TV production.
I’ve also volunteered with Terrence Higgins Trust and Stonewall, and was a trustee for London Friend. I work with all men: straight, gay, and bisexual.
Hi, I’m Richard English, a psychotherapist specialising in men's mental health, based in Chancery Lane, Central London, and online.
I'm a UKCP and BACP registered psychotherapist working with men (straight, gay, and bisexual), supporting them with anxiety, low mood, relationship issues, self-esteem, and work issues. I currently have limited availability for new clients.
I work with:
* Men experiencing anxiety, stress, or persistent worry
* Men feeling low, flat, stuck, or overwhelmed
* Men navigating relationship, intimacy, or communication issues
* Men dealing with self-esteem, confidence, or imposter syndrome
* Men facing life transitions, family or work pressures
I have a background in marketing, photojournalism and TV production, so understand the business world and importance of helping people to find and use their voice.
My integrative approach draws from several therapeutic models — including psychodynamic, relational, and CBT — that's flexible and tailored to you. Therapy can help you make sense of what’s happening and move toward a more grounded, confident version of yourself.
