My Approach

Rebekah uses Psychodynamic psychotherapy to underpin her practice, and then offers a range of trauma-informed interventions including EMDR, EFT and Mindfulness. As a Supervisor, Rebekah works with individuals and groups and uses an integrative frame.

Rebekah is both a Consultant Psychotherapist and Clinical Lead at Stepping Stones, and holds over 28 years of experience in working with those experiencing mental health difficulties. Her level of expertise and knowledge has ensured that she only selects the most skilled therapists to join her at Stepping Stones, and it is through this that she has now formed an outstanding team who are widely recognised for their low fee work with many private clients who are experiencing wellbeing and mental health related challenges.

About Me

Rebekah is a Psychodynamically trained Psychotherapist, fully Certified EMDR Therapist, Trauma Therapist and Clinical Supervisor. She is an ACTO Approved Online Therapist and CISM Practitioner, and has attended many major incidents to provide debrief. Rebekah has over 28 years of experience in working with people experiencing mental health difficulties within the NHS, initially as a Registered Nurse and later as a psychotherapist, seeing people from a wide variety of contexts and with a mix of different needs and challenges, including palliative care.

In clinical practice Rebekah is the Founder and Chief Executive of a large, successful and well respected therapy service and wellbeing hub, which she set up in 2017, as well as her own private practice. She works with clients who have experienced a range of traumas, as well as couples who are experiencing relational and sexual difficulties. Rebekah has chosen to extend her skills in this area during 2025, and is attending a COSRT Diploma to become an approved sex therapist.

Rebekah is a practising Ecotherapist, and is currently completing a PhD (Psychotherapy) where her thesis is concerned with the therapists' experiences of taking Psychodynamic Psychotherapy taken outside into nature.

Rebekah tends to work within a '12 session model', but all decisions surrounding the duration of sessions will be agreed with the client at the assessment session. Long term therapy is also available for all clients. She works both in person and online with clients.

All face to face sessions are held in Ryde, Isle of Wight, or online. Sessions are 50 minutes long and the fee is £75, with payment due at the time of the session, or at least 24hrs beforehand for online sessions.

Rebekah additionally has several years of experience in supporting and teaching students and offers reduced fee sessions for trainee counsellors. She has previously taught on Counselling Programmes at a variety of training institutions, and has successfully supervised many students through their qualifying training over the years, including psychodynamic, integrative and humanistic modalities. She currently works as a Teaching Consultant with NSPC.
