The psychotherapy I practise is focused on you talking about what you are struggling with in all aspects, past and present. I want to learn and understand your life, lived experiences and personal history. I want to hear about your feelings and thoughts and how the troubles you bring are affecting you now. This psychodynamic approach aims to link past to present and get to the core of what you are struggling with. Often we don't see the patterns we have, the ways of relating or communicating with others we use or the disturbed cycle of thoughts or feelings we live with. I aim to unlock all this with you and help you find another way of being. I am open to working long-term or short-term depending on what is best for you.
I am an individual and couples psychodynamic psychotherapist with over 12 years experience of working with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties and diagnoses. At the heart of my work as a therapist is the discipline and desire to help my clients live and feel better. I offer a reliable and safe therapy environment that is warm, non-judgemental and accepting. I have worked in the past in education, corporate business environments and in the NHS so I bring lots of life experience to my practice as a psychotherapist. I work to offer long-term, open ended psychotherapy and short-term, single issue focused psychotherapy e.g. a work related problem or health concern.
