My Approach

I attach special importance to enabling clients to speak freely about their emotional lives and tackling the difficulties that they face.
I have exceptional experience working with addiction, abuse and depression, with anxiety, eating and other process disorders. I have extensive experience in sexual difficulties and trauma, and post-natal depression.

I have developed insight through 17 years in private practice, alongside specialist work with organisations such as Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, and the Doctorcall private GP practice.

I have worked extensively with actors at one of the world’s leading drama schools and for UK broadcaster Channel 4, supporting participants in reality television programmes.

I have an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy, a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and a Certificate in Psychosexual Studies from the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. I am registered with the UKCP, the UK’s governing body of psychotherapists. I am accredited by AVIVA, PruHealth, AXA and Bupa Global.

About Me

For over 17 years, I have practised as a psychotherapist, built upon experience working for the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust, London Drug Agency and Women’s Trust. My approach is based upon building a trusting relationship with clients and a belief in helping people find new agency through new understanding.

I work with

  • Companies
  • Families
  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have worked for. many years with people living (or having lived) in abusive relationships.
Increasingly in my practice I am working with neurodiverse clients; often with people who have been diagnosed later in life, coming to therapy with perhaps depression or a sense of alienation. Therapy can be a very powerful tool in understanding the impact of diagnosis and living in a world that is dominated, and designed, by the neurotypical.
Eating disorder comes in many shapes - but at the root of all eating disorders is an emotional burden needing to be expressed in a healthier way. Therapy can help unpick the causes of ED's and help change behaviour.
Relationship difficulties lie at the very heart of my practice. By examining your relationship dynamics, we can pick up patterns, understand what is going wrong for you and perhaps help you with your communication style and start to build your confidence.
I have a certificate in psychosexual studies and have, over the years, helped many clients deal with sexual difficulites, ranging from sexual dysfunction to sexual abuse.
