I believe that we all have the ability to “self-right” if given the support and opportunity to do so. This is where counselling and psychotherapy can play an important part. My aim is to provide a safe and consistent space for you to be able to talk through what is troubling you, without judgement or any expectations.
My theoretical influences are Attachment Theory, Person Centred, Transactional Analysis, Intergenerational and Transgenerational theory, amongst others. I see therapy as a way to view your life story and experiences through different lenses, enabling understanding and meaning. Through this different perspective, you can begin to make choices that are more helpful and updated.
I work in a client led way, taking the lead from you and seeking to understand your experience of your life and the world rather than my interpretation of it. By aiming to empathically understand, we can work together to look for resolution and deeper contentment.
I offer an initial meeting at no cost to enable you and I to meet to see if we would be able to work together. This gives me the chance to find out more about you, to let you know more about how my approach may be able to help, and for you to experience without any commitment the type of therapy I offer.
