My Approach

When working with the whole family system or with different combinations of family members such as couples, multi-partnered people, individuals, adult-children or siblings, the aim is to maximise relational strengths and through pro-active conversations to overcome relationship problems. A key objective is to support you in developing a more helpful way of interacting and communication, supporting you individually or within your significant relationships. I also have further training in working with psychosexual issues, for couples and people who are gender, sexual and relationship diverse.

I have extensive experience of working in teaching, inclusion and education leadership and so I understand the impact of additional educational needs on young peoples’ well-being. For children or young people in your family, particularly those who often struggle in classrooms or show distress through challenging behaviour, we can offer individual child or adolescent sessions alongside family sessions. ADHD, ASD, their associated conditions and the impact on education and family life are areas that we can explore together. 'Under One Roof Therapy' also has access to Therapists who have a variety of approaches for parents such as the Non-Violent-Resistance approach (for young people engaging in worrying behaviours) and specialist parent approaches.

About Me

I have over twenty years of therapeutic experience as I initially trained as an arts psychotherapist before qualifying as a systemic family and relationship psychotherapist. I have worked in a variety of settings such as schools, universities, CAMHS, NHS specialist adult metal health settings and in specialist areas like parenting support. It is always my aim to make therapy sessions accessible and purposeful. I take pride in the feedback that individuals, children, adolescents, parents and couples find me warm, creative and relatable.

I can offer a choice of London locations to suit your life-schedule and your budget. I am based online and face-to-face in Hackney East London E8 and Queen Anne Street W1G 9JB (Bond St tube). I am also the director of 'Under One Roof Therapy' where I work with a small team of trusted, registered therapists and healthcare professionals; I match therapists to clients, depending on the best fit for the issues you are facing. When you make initial contact with me, I will arrange a 20min phone/zoom call to hear a bit more about the issues you are seeking help for. Then we can think together about what the therapy might look like. Take a look at my website for more information and then just send a message via email please include if you are looking for online, face to face or a combination and if you can do eve/daytime sessions) and I will come back to you with options.
