‘Everyone is a house with four rooms, a physical, a mental, an emotional, and a spiritual. Most of us tend to live in one room most of the time but unless we go into every room every day, even if only to keep it aired, we are not a complete person.’ Rumer Godden

WHAT IS INTEGRATIVE TRANSPERSONAL PSYCHOTHERAPY?

Integrative means that I have been trained in many of the predominant therapeutic approaches - including person-centred, transpersonal, psychoanalytic, CBT, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and existential modalities. I apply a holistic blend of these approaches according to each client’s evolving needs and goals.
Transpersonal psychotherapy blends spirituality and higher states of consciousness with modern psychology.  It encourages growth and connection beyond the individual sense of self to the collective wisdom, deeper meaning and transcendent aspects of the spiritual realm.

About Me

I am an integrative transpersonal psychotherapist offering psychotherapy and counselling to adult individuals online, in person in Manchester City Centre, Chorlton-cum-Hardy and Saddleworth, plus ecotherapy/walk and talk therapy in nature.

I offer soul-centred therapy to support adult individuals to come into compassionate relationship with their true self, qualities and purpose, access inner wisdom, navigate life's challenges, heal past traumas, work towards goals, positive relationships, balance and wellness. I am trauma-informed and work in a holistic manner with mindfulness and compassion at the heart of my work. I work with clients at depth on an open-ended basis and I also offer short-term counselling. I also offer group therapeutic workshops to explore deep themes and invite awareness, growth and healing.

I enjoy working creatively (e.g. dreamwork, visualisation, active imagination, sand play, body and breath work) to facilitate clients accessing and integrating wisdom beyond the cognitive realm.

I work with

  • Companies
  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I bring compassionate curiosity to all substance issues and behaviours, understanding that addiction is a symptom of a spiritual dis-ease, often due to past trauma and/or unmet needs.
I understand depression as often being a symptom of repressed emotions such as anger. I encourage clients to get in touch with any unprocessed or repressed feelings, using creative interventions such as sand play, visualisations, somatic work, breath work, dreamwork and active imagination. This can help clients to bypass the cognitive function and access the unconscious and gain awareness, expression, acceptance, wisdom, growth and healing.
I use a range of tools, including Non-Violent Communication, to support challenges with interpersonal relationships. However, I believe that the most important relationship we have is that with ourselves. In my experience, interpersonal challenges often reflect aspects of our own unprocessed material such as integration of our shadow side.
The transpersonal integrative psychotherapy I practice blends spirituality and higher states of consciousness with modern psychology.  It encourages growth and connection beyond the individual sense of self to the collective wisdom, deeper meaning and transcendent aspects of the spiritual realm. I enjoy working creatively (e.g. dreamwork, visualisation, active imagination, sand play, body and breath work) to facilitate clients accessing and integrating wisdom beyond the cognitive realm.
I am trauma informed and work in a holistic manner, addressing the mind, heart, body and soul/spirit, with mindfulness and compassion at the heart of my work.
