My Approach

I am a Gestalt psychotherapist. Gestalt supports working at greater relational depth to help clients with longer established, deeper issues. I am also a qualified coach.

I offer a free initial 30 minute session for you to briefly explain what has brought you to therapy and your hopes for it and for me to explain how therapy works. This gives both the opportunity to find out a bit more about each other and decide if we feel we could work together.

Therapy can be either short-term or long-term (with regular reviews) and either in person or on-line.

If meeting in person we can use one of two comfortable, confidential rooms in the gardens of my house. A cloakroom is available. There is free parking on-site and Malvern Link train station 1.2 miles away. As I live on the outskirts of Malvern, meeting outside in nature is also possible. If meeting on-line we can use either Zoom or MS-Teams. Whether meeting in person or on-line, normally we would meet at the same time each week, although this can be varied if necessary.

About Me

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

I am a professional, approachable UKCP registered psychotherapist working in private practice in Malvern, Worcestershire (face to face) and nationally/inter-nationally (on-line). I support adults by holding a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space so you can become more aware of the impact of past life experiences, how those events still influence how you are in the world today and explore your thoughts and feelings around options for making changes in the future.

Please visit my website for further details and do get in touch by email or phone if you feel I might be the person best placed to help you.

Kind regards,

Paul Tutton

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I had a long career in IT and business change in both private and public sector organisations. I support clients facing employment difficulties, workplace issues and who wish to explore the relationship between their identity and their work.
I work with clients having challenges with the relationships in any area of their life (e.g. family (inc. issues around blended families, adoption etc.), workplace).
My faith background is Christian and I work with clients wishing to explore aspects of their spirituality or faith. I have previously worked with clients from a range of faith backgrounds (e.g. Christian, Sikh, Bahai).
I work with clients experiencing what might be called 'everyday' mental health challenges, such as stress, anxiety, depression etc.
I am looking forward to studying the Relational Change course "Certificate/Diploma in Contemporary Trauma Practice 2024-25: Mind, Body and Relationship:– Developing Competence in Applying Neuroscience to Therapy" in order to better support clients who have experienced trauma in their lives.
