Paul has extensive clinical experience across a range of professional settings, including the Youth Offending Service, Brighton Council's supported accommodation for young people aged 16–25, Sure Start Children's Centres, Sussex University, and private practice. He has been in private practice since 2012 and is a founding member of the Brighton Psychotherapy and Counselling Collective.
His areas of specialism include anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, relationship difficulties, identity, and personality disorders. Paul also has a particular interest in neurodiversity, sexuality, and class and intersectionality. He works with adults and adolescents, offering both short and long-term psychotherapy in person from his consulting room in Hove, and online.
Paul Salvage is a UKCP-registered Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and qualified supervisor based in Hove, Brighton. He holds an MSc in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the University of Brighton, a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling, and an earlier training in Integrative Counselling with a Mindfulness-based approach. He has undertaken further intensive psychoanalytic training, enabling him to work at greater depth with both adults and adolescents.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
