My Approach

My modalities include Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis therapies. I have the asset of a broad theoretical toolbox, that lends itself to considering how your past may determine and affect your life today. I can work short-term (fixed number of sessions) with a specific focus or long-term (open-ended) to explore more entrenched issues. I value individual difference, honesty, integrity, and connection. I hope you will be supported in finding your own path, as I strongly believe in the individual’s ability to become empowered in finding their own answers. About Me

Hi, my name is Param Singh, and I know what it is like to feel lost, alone and unsure of what to do next. Coming from the global majority and being born and brought up in the UK and USA, I understand what it is like to feel different. I have experience of supporting people with cultural/ identity challenges, personal relationships, bereavement and loss, grief, anxiety, depression, substance and behavioural addictions, neurodivergence, and the obstacles or problems these can bring to the surface. I believe in hospitality, creating a warm, welcoming, safe space to explore life and all its complexities.

Being trained at the prestigious Metanoia Institute of London in Humanistic psychotherapy has given me a solid foundation in a safe and effective way of working. In addition to seeing clients for counselling, I am in my penultimate year of completing a master’s degree (MSc) to further enrich my psychotherapeutic practice. I am a fully insured member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling Psychotherapists), BAATN (Black and Asian Therapists Network), UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy), and AP (Addiction Professionals). I abide by their Ethical Frameworks, and GDPR laws. Prior to training and working as a therapist, I supported people as an international Behavioural and Mental Health Specialist in London, Switzerland, Asia, the United States and Dubai. My first career was in International Trade and Development and lasted over 10 years. I found purpose in working as a helping professional and decided to begin my own journey of self-discovery in 2016, which led to my career as a therapist.
