My therapeutic approach is relational and integrative, combining Transactional Analysis and Gestalt Therapy. I pay particular attention to emotional safety, authentic contact, self-awareness, and the connection between emotions, bodily experience, relationships, and early life experiences.
I offer a warm, respectful, and non-judgemental space where clients can explore difficulties at their own pace, deepen their understanding of themselves, and develop new ways of relating to others. Clients often describe me as a compassionate, accepting, and emotionally supportive therapist who is also able to bring honesty, stability, and clarity to the therapeutic process.
I believe psychotherapy is not about fixing a person but about creating the conditions in which meaningful change can emerge. Through awareness, understanding, and a supportive therapeutic relationship, people can reconnect with their feelings, needs, strengths, and capacity for fulfilling relationships and a more satisfying life.
Hello, my name is Olha Poliakh / Ольга Полях.
I am a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist, Certified Transactional Analyst in Psychotherapy (CTA(P)), Gestalt therapist, and MSc graduate in Psychology. Originally from Ukraine, I have been living and working in the United Kingdom since 2022.
I have more than 10 years of experience working with adults, couples, and groups, both in private practice and through therapeutic and psychoeducational groups. Alongside my training in Transactional Analysis and Gestalt Therapy, I have completed additional professional training in Clinical Psychology.
I work online with adults from the UK, Europe, and internationally in Russian and Ukrainian, and I welcome clients from diverse cultural, international, and multilingual backgrounds.
My experience includes supporting people through anxiety, depression, emotional exhaustion, burnout, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, eating disorders, difficulties with boundaries and emotional regulation, as well as grief, life transitions, migration, questions of identity and belonging, and trauma-related experiences connected with separation, instability, and major life changes.
The fee for a 50-minute online psychotherapy session is £60.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
