With over eight years’ experience, I support people who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, uncertain, disconnected from themselves, or struggling to make sense of what they are experiencing. This might be during a difficult period in a relationship, following a break-up or loss, through changes at work or in midlife, or when questions around identity, culture, belonging or life direction begin to feel more important.
I have a particular interest in supporting people as they navigate relationship difficulties, cultural and identity concerns, work-related challenges, midlife transitions and significant changes in their lives. Therapy can offer a space to pause, reflect and process what is happening or what has happened, while gently exploring what you may need and how you might want to move forward.
I take a person-centred and collaborative approach. My intention is to offer a space that is open, curious and patient, where you can explore your experiences without agenda or expectations. I provide an accepting and confidential space where you can speak freely about what matters to you. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, fears and hopes at a pace that feels right for you.
Counselling can offer an opportunity to:
Work through difficult experiences and challenges
Better understand your thoughts, feelings and reactions
Develop self-awareness and recognise patterns that may no longer feel helpful
Explore your needs, boundaries and relationships
Navigate life transitions, loss and uncertainty
Draw on your own strengths and resources
Reflect on how your family, culture, community and wider society shape your experiences
Consider what you may want or need as you move forward
I also pay attention to what happens between us in the therapy space, as this can sometimes offer valuable insight into how you relate to yourself and others. I see this relationship as an important part of the therapeutic process and a space where new understanding can emerge.
Starting therapy takes courage. I will do my best to help you feel settled, build trust and feel comfortable enough to explore what has brought you to counselling. We can work together at a pace that feels right for you.
I offer an accepting, culturally sensitive and trauma-informed practice and am a recognised practitioner with Bupa Health Insurance.
