I am an Existential Psychotherapist, integrating a wide-ranging knowledge of therapeutic methods with insights from contemporary clinical and psychological research, creating a process that is evidence based and deeply personal.
Our sessions begin with you and where you want to start and we follow what emerges from there. Each therapeutic process is individual and shaped around you.
Past, present and future are often alive simultaneously. We may explore how the past continues to shape the present, while recognising that the choices we make today also shape the possibilities of our future.
I work with people from a wide range of backgrounds struggling with but not limited to anxiety, trauma, relationships, self-esteem, identity, neurodiversity, life transitions, loneliness or feeling of being stuck.
My belief is that the understanding developed in therapy becomes most meaningful when it can be lived beyond the therapy room. My hope is that what emerges through therapy leads to change that continues to shape how we live long after each session ends. People come to therapy for many different reasons, sometimes the reasons are clear to us and other times they are harder to locate but we find we are sitting with the feelings of dissatisfaction, anxiety, stuckness or disconnection from ourselves, uncertain about the direction our life is taking. Both are good places to begin.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
