I aim to provide a steady, thoughtful, and containing environment where difficult feelings can be explored safely. Therapy is collaborative and paced according to what feels manageable.
We may explore:
Emotional intensity or instability
Repeated relational patterns
Low self-worth or self-doubt
Anger, shame, or anxiety that feels disproportionate or confusing
Experiences that continue to influence you in the present
Rather than focusing only on symptom reduction, my work supports a deeper understanding of underlying dynamics. Change often comes through increased awareness, emotional processing, and developing a different relationship to yourself and others.
I am a UKCP-registered integrative psychotherpeutic counsellor working with adults who experience intense emotions, ongoing relationship difficulties, or long-standing patterns that feel hard to shift.
Many people who come to see me feel that something deeper is driving their distress. They may struggle with emotional overwhelm, self-criticism, instability in relationships, or a persistent sense of dissatisfaction or disconnection. Often these patterns have developed over time and cannot be resolved simply by trying harder or thinking differently.
My training is integrative, with a strong relational focus. This means I am interested in how your past and present relationships shape your sense of self, your emotional responses, and the ways you relate to others. Therapy offers a space to reflect on these patterns and begin to understand them more fully.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
