My Approach

Our work begins with building a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship in which you can feel heard, understood and able to explore your experiences. We will consider what has brought you to therapy, what you hope to gain from it and what feels most important to you.

Therapy is a collaborative process. We will regularly reflect on how the work is progressing and discuss what you would like to explore next. The direction of your therapy remains a choice we make together, guided by your needs and preferences.

Where appropriate, we may explore how past experiences, relationships and patterns of relating continue to influence the present. I use creative and psychodynamic approaches to support this exploration, always at a pace that feels manageable and relevant to you.

About Me

Integrative Psychotherapist
Child Psychotherapist
Adult Psychotherapeutic Counsellor
Supervisor
Tutor
Mental Health First Aid Trainer

As an integrative practitioner, I draw on a range of therapeutic theories, models and creative techniques to support my clinical work. My approach is relational, grounded in the belief that a trusting therapeutic relationship provides the foundation for meaningful change. I tailor sessions to each person's individual needs, experiences and goals, recognising that everyone brings their own unique perspective and story to therapy.

My core approaches draw on Transactional Analysis, attachment theory and neurobiological understandings of relationships, alongside Person-Centred Therapy. I also incorporate creative and psychodynamic methods where these may be helpful.

I have experience working across a range of settings, including schools and charities, with a particular interest in neurodiversity. Alongside my clinical practice, I work as a supervisor and tutor, supporting reflection, learning and professional development. These different roles inform my understanding of the importance of creating supportive spaces in which people can develop, build confidence and explore new perspectives.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

In supervision, I aim to provide a thoughtful, collaborative and supportive space in which practitioners an trainees can explore clinical work, reflect on the therapeutic relationship, consider complex situations and develop their confidence and self-awareness.
As a tutor and Mental Health First Aid Trainer, I support learning and the development of knowledge and skills, encouraging curiosity, critical reflection and the integration of theory with practice. My integrative and relational perspective informs both roles, with an emphasis on creating an environment where questions, exploration and professional growth are welcomed.
