My approach is open, inclusive, and non-judgemental. I provide a space where you can talk about whatever is on your mind - even things that feel messy, unclear, or irrelevant. I integrate a strong training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy with additional training in CBT and Psychosexual Therapy as appropriate, together with extensive experience of working with a broad range of clients over weeks, months, or years, and in a variety of settings. Over time, therapy can lead to lasting change - whether you're experiencing anxiety or depression, or dealing with issues related to sexuality, identity, work, family, or relationships. You may be dealing with something else, or with a general sense that something isn't right. Through therapy we can come to understand ourselves better, together with our relationships to others and the world. Over time this can lead to lasting change.
I'm an experienced Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, accredited with UKCP and BPC, and registered with BACP. I practice in central Brighton (within walking distance of the station), as well as online and over the phone. More information about me and how I work can be found on my website: www.nickarchertherapy.co.uk
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
