I aim to offer a therapy that is sensitively spacious.
Psychological pain can be understood as a story of space; either too little or too much. You might find yourself seeking support because you feel too close to unsettling feelings, stuck in negative thinking, or tangled up in unsatisfactory relationships.
Alternatively, your experience might be one of distance from your emotional experience, feeling lost or lacking in direction or purpose. If your self-esteem is running low, I understand how painful and wrong it can feel to take up any space at all.
Therapy too is all about negotiating the dimensions of space, finding the right balance of connection to help you make sense of your experiences and tend to what feels wounded or flawed. My role as your therapist is to sensitively locate myself in relation to you, not so close that you’re made to feel encroached upon, not so distant as to evoke abandonment or shame.
By allowing yourself the non-judgemental space of therapy to do this work, you can access and sensitively build upon your own inner spaciousness and support yourself to move through the world with newfound confidence and grace.
