My Approach

I work integratively, drawing on different therapeutic modalities so that each child, young person, or family can be met in a way that feels right for them. Therapy can look different for everyone. For some, talking is helpful; for others, creative approaches such as play, art, sand tray, or storytelling can open up new ways to explore feelings and experiences that may be difficult to put into words.

I often bring these creative methods into the work because they can give shape to emotions and experiences that feel confusing or overwhelming, helping children and young people find their own ways of understanding and expressing themselves.

At times, I may work alongside parents, carers, schools, or other professionals where this feels helpful, always keeping the child or young person at the centre of the process. Reflective parenting sessions are offered separately for families where I am not working directly with the child or adolescent, so the focus and confidentiality of the child’s own therapy remain fully protected.

I see therapy as a journey that unfolds as trust builds, moving at a pace that feels manageable and respectful for everyone involved. The therapeutic relationship is central to this work, and I place great importance on creating a sense of safety, understanding, and connection throughout the process.

Please feel free to contact me, even if it is simply to ask a question or find out more about how I work.

About Me

I am an Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, accredited by the UKCP, with experience across schools, community services, and private practice. I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and families, offering a therapeutic space that is safe, supportive, and nurturing.

I understand that beginning therapy can feel like a significant step. I approach this work with sensitivity and care, staying alongside each family to ensure the therapeutic journey feels thoughtful, respectful, and shaped around their needs.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I support children, young people, and families in exploring the complex feelings and experiences that can come with adoption, offering a space to think about identity, belonging, and relationships in a safe and understanding way.
I help children and young people explore the feelings beneath their anxiety, giving space to understand what might be driving their worries and finding ways to feel safer and more in control.
I provide a safe, consistent space for children and young people to process grief, helping them to explore and express feelings of loss at a pace that feels manageable and supported.
I offer children and young people a safe space to explore the impact of bullying on their self-esteem and relationships. Together, we can make sense of their experiences and support them in rebuilding confidence and finding their voice.
I offer a reflective space where children and adolescents can begin to make sense of sadness or low mood, helping them find words for difficult feelings and supporting them as they work towards greater emotional well-being.
