My Approach

Are you feeling Overwhelmed? Anxious? Low mood? Stressed? Feeling like this can be debilitating and can lead to a feeling of stuckness. It can affect your behaviours, your sleep and your overall health and well-being. This can often lead to being stuck in the same patterns of behaviour and this can feel exhausting.
You may have experienced trauma which has left you feeling dysregulated and unsafe. You may be feeling hyper-vigilant and tense, or the opposite, and feeling very low and numb to life. You may be unable to function and live life in the way you want to. This can be really distressing and can make you feel alone.

You may not even know why you are feeling a certain way but you know that you are not feeling good and need some extra support going forwards.

I believe that everyone is unique and I aim to understand you and help you on your therapy journey. Everyone has the right to be seen, heard and understood as unique individuals. Therapy is not a ‘one size fits all’ process and I appreciate how difficult it can be sometimes to reach out for help.

I pride myself on my ability to connect with my clients and think my intuition as a therapist is one of my core strengths. I will be alongside you as we navigate what might be troubling you and keeping you ‘stuck’ in particular patterns of behaviour or relational dynamics.

You might be managing to function but struggling to cope with life. I can offer you a warm, non-judgemental and empathetic space to express yourself with someone whose life and relationships are separate from yours.

I believe in working with the whole person both past, present and future to help identify your emotional needs. Part of your therapy journey will involve really getting to know your true self and this can be both challenging and positively revelatory.

It is from this place of greater self-awareness that you can be supported in making changes that align with what is important to you and that honour the unique person you are.

Life can be challenging and even with the support of family and friends, we can still feel very much alone. This can feed into us feeling disconnected from others and ourselves. I will guide you to reconnect with yourself and others which can lead to a greater life fulfilment.

About Me

Welcome, I’m Natalie. I appreciate how many profiles there are out there, so thank you for taking the time to read mine.

I am an experienced UKCP and BACP registered therapist providing one to one sessions for adults, both in person and online. I am an integrative therapist which means I tailor each session for you as an individual and draw upon a range of modalities to suit your needs. I see clients with a broad range of presenting issues but I specialise in working with Anxiety, Depression, Postpartum Mothers and Trauma. I have a keen interest in childhood attachment and how our childhood experiences can shape our lives. Please see my website for further information about me personally and how I work.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Anxiety can be overwhelming and exhausting. It can affect your body, your thoughts, your emotions, and the way you move through the world. Many people describe feeling tense, overwhelmed, or trapped in unhelpful cycles — and it can be incredibly draining. You don’t have to navigate that alone. As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of approaches to meet you as an individual. Together, we’ll explore what lies beneath your anxiety, how it shows up in your day-to-day life, and what support you need right now. This might include grounding and regulation techniques, relational work, or deeper exploration of past experiences — always at a pace that feels safe for you. My goal is to help you understand yourself more fully, develop tools that genuinely fit you, and create space for calm, confidence, and relief to grow.
Depression can feel heavy and consuming. It can drain your energy, flatten your emotions, and make even simple tasks feel overwhelming. You might find yourself withdrawing, feeling disconnected from the world around you, or struggling with a constant sense of numbness, sadness, or self-criticism. These experiences can be incredibly isolating, especially when it’s hard to put them into words. As an integrative therapist, I meet you where you are. Together, we’ll explore what sits beneath your depression — the emotions, experiences, and patterns that may be contributing to how you feel. I draw from a range of approaches, including relational work, regulation techniques, and deeper therapeutic exploration, so we can find what truly supports you in this moment. My aim is to help you understand yourself with greater compassion, gently reconnect with your sense of meaning and motivation, and find moments of lightness and hope again.
Relationships shape so much of our emotional world. Whether romantic or platonic, they can bring closeness, connection, and support — but they can also stir up confusion, conflict, or repeating patterns that feel hard to break. You might notice yourself withdrawing, people-pleasing, feeling unsafe in closeness, or choosing relationships that leave you unfulfilled. Often, these patterns make more sense when we understand the experiences that came before them. As an integrative therapist, I support you in making sense of how your past — including attachment experiences, family dynamics, or previous relationships — influences the way you relate to others now. Together, we’ll explore your relational patterns with curiosity and compassion, helping you notice what feels familiar, what feels protective, and what may no longer be serving you. My aim is to help you build healthier, more authentic connections: relationships where you feel seen, valued, and able to bring more of your true self.
Stress can build slowly or hit all at once. You might find yourself juggling endless responsibilities, feeling constantly “on,” or struggling to switch off even when you want to. Stress can show up in the body through tension, headaches, or disrupted sleep, and in the mind as irritability, overwhelm, or a sense of running on empty. Over time, it can chip away at your wellbeing and leave you feeling disconnected from yourself. As an integrative therapist, I help you understand what’s fueling your stress — whether it’s external pressures, internal expectations, or patterns that have developed over years. Together, we’ll explore how stress affects you emotionally, physically, and relationally, and find strategies that genuinely support your capacity to cope. This might include self-regulation, relational exploration, or deeper work around beliefs and experiences that keep you stuck in cycles of strain. My aim is to help you create more space, balance, and steadiness in your life, and to reconnect with a sense of control and ease.
Trauma can leave deep marks, even long after the event has passed. You might find yourself feeling on edge, hypervigilant, disconnected, or caught in patterns you can’t quite explain. Constantly scanning for danger, struggling to relax, or feeling as though your body is “always on” are common trauma responses — not personal failings. They’re your mind and body’s way of protecting you after experiences that were too much, too fast, or too soon. But living in this heightened state can be exhausting and isolating. As an integrative therapist, I work with trauma gently and collaboratively. Together, we’ll explore your experiences at a pace that feels safe, helping you understand how trauma has shaped your feelings, your relationships, and your sense of self. I draw from a range of approaches — including grounding and regulation work, relational safety, and deeper therapeutic exploration — so we can find what supports you best in each moment. My aim is to help you feel more settled in your body, less overwhelmed by hypervigilance, and more able to make sense of your story with compassion.
