I understand that choosing to come to counselling takes courage, and it’s a big commitment of your time, energy and money. That’s why it matters to me that you feel informed and comfortable before making that choice. My website nataliecoupland.co.uk answers many of the questions you may have, but if there’s anything else you’d like to know, please feel free to get in touch.
How can I help?
As a therapist, my role isn’t to give you all the answers — I don’t have them, and therapy isn’t about being told what to do. I don’t arrive with a plan for who you should be or how you should live. Instead, we work collaboratively, side by side, in a confidential and supportive space where you can feel safe, respected, and able to explore your experience at your own pace. The aim is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, because it’s from that understanding that real, lasting change begins to emerge.
I believe everyone has the capacity to grow and move toward a more fulfilling way of living, but life’s challenges can sometimes make that feel out of reach. Stress, trauma, or old patterns can leave you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or behaving in ways that don’t really support your wellbeing or relationships. When things feel heavy or confusing, talking with someone who’s trained to listen can make a real difference.
My approach is rooted in Humanistic, person centred therapy. This means I work in a holistic, relational way that focuses on your experience, your potential, and your ability to make meaningful change. The relationship we build is central — empathic, non judgemental, and non directive — giving you space to express yourself freely and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface.
I’m a registered psychotherapist and counsellor with over 15 years of experience supporting people with many different kinds of challenges. I’m a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I’m registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). That means I’m fully insured and work within their ethical guidelines, including ongoing supervision and regular training to keep my practice up to date.
My practice is based in Farnsfield, near Southwell (NG22). It’s a quiet, comfortable space that offers plenty of privacy, and there’s free off street parking too.
