I offer an exploratory experience with the aim to help you feel safe and able to confront those issues that are bothering you. I use Transactional Analysis to help you understand your relationship with yourself, others and how you do things.
Often people need a place to talk and this can provide some relief. My approach is to listen and ask questions about what you are thinking and feeling in the endeavour that talking and reflecting without judgment will provide deeper insight. Sharing feelings and thoughts with an empathic listener does often help to come to terms with what has gone before; the relationship between client and therapist can be a powerful mechanism in this regard as self-compassion becomes internalised and coping with current or past events eventually feels more manageable.

I am a fully-qualified UKCP-registered psychotherapist with a background in bereavement, estrangement, depression, trauma, anxiety and relationship/communication issues. I work with individuals and couples, and run a support group for anxiety.
Having studied at Metanoia Institute, I gained a MSc in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, and CTA (Certified Transactional Analyst).
My practice is based in Staines-Upon-Thames and I offer a confidential and comfortable space on the ground floor, (sadly I do not have access for wheelchair users).
I offer a twenty-minute telephone or zoom initial consultation to establish what your therapeutic requirements might be and from there we can schedule regular weekly in-person or zoom therapy sessions.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
