I offer a caring, safe and confidential environment to explore whatever is troubling you.
I am a professionally qualified and accredited psychotherapist with many years of experience. I have been working in private practice from my office in Richmond since 2015 and prior to that spent 3-years at Richmond Borough Mind and 5-years in the Talking Therapies Service at Wpf.
I am experienced in working with people dealing with a wide range of issues, including stress, depression, anxiety, chronic/terminal illness, bereavement, sexual orientation, gender questioning, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, self-esteem, loneliness, sense of displacement/disconnection/dissociation, developmental trauma, history of neglect or physical/emotional/sexual abuse, breakdown, borderline personality disorder and complex PTSD.
I completed my initial 4-year psychotherapy training with Wpf in 2008 and hold a BACP accredited Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling from Wpf Therapy as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Studies from Roehampton.
I specialise in working with developmental attachment issues and complex trauma, and have undertaken additional trainings to enhance my work. In 2021, I completed Level 1: Trauma Themes training with the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute and have completed Level 2: Developmental Injury in May 2023. I am also an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) practitioner having completed both Part 1 and 2 EMDR training with Sandi Richman, who was trained by Francine Shapiro after she developed this technique which helps to resolve traumatic symptoms.
I offer in-person therapy sessions from my office in Richmond Upon Thames as well online sessions via Zoom.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
