My personal theoretical integrative approach is made up of person-centred, humanistic/existential, developmental theories within a relational framework, based on emphasising the importance of empowering individuals and couples to effectively identify and address their problems.
I can assist you to understand better, accept, and be compassionate towards yourself; gain insight into behaviours and patterns you may have and ways you can resolve them, reduce your stress levels and address occupational issues and improve your relationships with others. Poor communication and infidelity are some of the issues I support couples with.
I work from an accepting, non-judgemental and compassionate approach, as I understand that people sometimes find sharing and exploring personal experiences and problems difficult. We can have a one-off session to discuss something that has happened recently or has been worrying you or have longer weekly therapy sessions focusing on specific problems.
I also offer reflective practice, post-incident debriefs and clinical supervisions to individuals and organisations.
I am a Chartered Psychologist and Integrative Psychotherapist. I have worked with clients in workplace settings, charity organisations, hospices, night shelters, hostels refuges, and law practices. I work with individuals using an accepting, non-judgemental and compassionate approach, as I understand that people find it difficult for to share and explore challenges and personal experiences. I work with various issues such as bereavement, trauma, domestic abuse, anxiety, postnatal depression, homelessness, personality disorders and work problems.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
