About Me

I am trained as a psychotherapist and dramatherapist, holding certificates in EMDR and Energy Psychotherapy. I give importance to the things which emerge from inside - dreams or hunches, which can guide us when dilemma or difficulty seem to have taken life over. My approach integrates several ways of working, including psychodynamic, Jungian, the Internal Family Systems approach, and the more practical everyday skills offered through assertion awareness. You can talk, or if you prefer, we can work through imagination, movement and other creative art forms. A session lasts 50 minutes every week, for an agreed-upon number of sessions or ongoing work. I often work with people exploring spirituality and its place in their lives and in today's world. I work from my home under the name SOULWORKS UK in Tulse Hill. The nearest tube station is Brixton on the Victoria line, and then it's a five-stop bus ride. I offer sessions on Zoom. A session is 50 mins, and my standard fee is £70. I provide some reduced-fee places.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I work with people in a loss or bereavement life event and supporting their grief and mourning journey through accompaniment. I work in groups and one to one looking at how the identity changes which occur on the loss of a loved one.
Relationships are more than society allows and more complicated. My work pays attention to what is evolving in consciousness when relationships are beyond the expected and take us on an unexpected life turn. How do we deal with these?
I have coined the phrase 'secular spirituality' sensing that human beings are have a living relationship to something greater, whatever that may be. Exploring a deeper unlived aspect of our being can lead into spiritual resources which support our perspective of both sadness and joy.
I provide clinical supervision for practitioners in practice and 'soul works' where people can attend to both their personal and professional practice in one place.
I provide training in the use of embodied imagination in counselling and psychotherapy through my course Psyche and Soma -a one year course for registered professionals.
