My Approach

I place neurodiversity at the heart of how I work. I attend closely to pacing, sensory needs and the hidden costs of masking, adapting the therapeutic space so it fits you rather than asking you to fit it.
From a Gestalt perspective, I stay present-focused and embodied. We notice how feelings, sensations and relational patterns arise in the moment, using that lived experience to deepen self-understanding and expand choice.
I am trauma-informed and identity-affirming, holding questions of safety, consent and cultural context with care. Alongside depth, I make room for curiosity, creativity and the wisdom you already carry.

About Me

Hello, I’m Marta, a UKCP-accredited Gestalt psychotherapist working with adults navigating neurodiversity, identity and complex relational patterns.
I specialise in supporting people with neurodivergent experiences and those carrying the long shadows of transgenerational or relational trauma. I also work extensively with cultural difference, migration and belonging.
I offer therapy in English, Spanish and Italian, recognising how language and culture shape the way we feel and make meaning.
In our work together we focus on what matters to you now, honouring your strengths and adapting the process to your particular way of being.
If you are considering therapy and would like to explore whether we might be a good fit, I currently have limited availability for new clients.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Neurodiversity (including ADHD and autistic spectrum experiences) I work with adults navigating ADHD and other neurodivergent ways of being. This includes exploring the impact of masking, sensory sensitivity, executive functioning challenges and the exhaustion that can come from trying to fit environments that were not designed with you in mind. Our work may focus on regulation, identity, shame, self-acceptance and building structures that support rather than overwhelm you.
Culture, language and history shape how we feel and relate. I work with people navigating migration, bicultural identity, racialised experience and the complexities of belonging across different communities. Sessions are available in English, Spanish or Italian so you can speak in the language that feels most authentic. Together we may explore transgenerational messages, family expectations, experiences of marginalisation and the strengths that come from culture and community. I aim to create a space that honours difference, recognises power dynamics and supports you to live in ways that feel aligned with both your heritage and your present life.
Relationships are often where we first learn who we are, and they can also be a source of confusion or pain. I work with individuals to explore relational patterns, including attachment styles, boundaries and communication. Therapy offers a space to slow down and notice how past experiences shape present connections. Together we can experiment with clearer expression and more attuned ways of relating. Whether you are struggling with intimacy, repeating difficult dynamics or seeking more honest communication, our work will focus on helping you move toward relationships that feel sustainable and authentic.
