My Approach

As an integrative therapist, I adapt my approach to the needs of the individual, couple, or family in front of me. My aim is to support you in developing deeper insight, strengthening your relationship with yourself and others, and understand the emotional and relational influences that may be shaping your experience.

My systemic training also creates space to explore the impact of generational patterns and family histories and how these might show up in the present.

At the heart of my practice is a strong therapeutic relationship. I value honesty, warmth, and collaboration, and I aim to create a space where you feel safe enough to explore difficult issues and emotions at your own pace.

I’ve spent many years developing a thoughtful and ethical practice, and I continue to invest in ongoing learning, CPD, and supervision. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a registered member of the Association of Family Therapy (AFT) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

Fees vary depending on the type of session. For further information or to arrange a free 15 minute consultation, please contact me at: hello@marshablakecounselling.com

About Me

I’m Marsha, and I work with individuals, couples, and families. I understand that entering therapy is a significant step, and my aim is to offer a grounded, reliable and thoughtful space where you feel genuinely met and understood.

I first qualified as a counsellor over ten years ago, working primarily with individuals.

Over time as my work developed, I became interested in joining the relational ‘dots’ and having the flexibility to broaden out into systemic work. This led me to complete postgraduate training in Systemic and Family Practice and an MSc in Family Therapy at King’s College London.

Being able to work with couples and families has expanded the depth of the conversations I’m able to support, often revealing powerful opportunities for growth and healing. It can be a brave step to bring important people into the room together, and holding that space with care, clarity, and respect is central to how I work.
