My Approach

You may appear to be managing on the outside, while inside you experience anxiety, overwhelm, grief, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or the impact of difficult family experiences and childhood trauma. You may feel stressed, burnt out, depressed, or disconnected from yourself. Perhaps something in your life no longer feels quite right, or familiar ways of coping are no longer working as well as they once did.

I work in an integrative and trauma-informed way, drawing on different therapeutic approaches depending on what feels helpful for you. Alongside talking, I may invite you to pay attention to emotions, bodily sensations, images, dreams, or other aspects of your experience that are harder to put into words. I am interested not only in what you think about your life, but also in how you experience it.

Often the ways we learn to survive difficult experiences make sense in the context of our lives, even when they begin to cause difficulties later on. Together, we can explore how patterns from earlier experiences continue to shape your relationships, choices, and your sense of self today and whether they are still working for you.

My aim is not to help you become someone different, but to help you develop a more understanding relationship with yourself.

Having lived in three different countries and cultures, I know something about what it means to leave familiar surroundings behind, adapt to new environments, and search for a sense of belonging. I welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, genders, sexualities, and life experiences, and I offer therapy in both English and Russian.

I hold a Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling from Re-Vision Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy.

I offer both open-ended and time-limited therapy. Sessions are available in person near London Bridge and online.

About Me

Hello, I'm Marina, a qualified counsellor based in London.

Many of us learn to set parts of ourselves aside in order to cope with life's challenges. At the heart of my work is helping people reconnect with, understand, and make space for those parts of themselves again.

I often work with people who learned early on to cope with difficult circumstances and rely on themselves. They may come to therapy when something in their life is changing or asking for attention. This could be after a loss, during relationship difficulties, challenges at work, relocating or adapting to life somewhere new, or when they no longer feel at home in their life.

I am interested in understanding your experience rather than simply trying to get rid of symptoms. Together, we can explore what your experience may be trying to tell you.

Over time, many people find that they develop a deeper understanding of themselves and feel better able to navigate their relationships and life's challenges.

If this resonates, please get in touch to arrange an initial conversation.
