As a family therapist with years of experience in CAMHS services, I work with young people experiencing eating disorders (FBT / Maudsley), anxiety, depression and challenging behaviours. Family members often play a key role on a loved one’s recovery, and we can work together so you will be able to support your relative to overcome their difficulties.
As part of my practice, I also see couples considering separation with the goal of improving communication and agreeing common goals.
Parent-focused family therapy is also indicated in cases where the young person is unable to access help and psychological support. In these cases, parents can learn ways to support their loved ones by acquiring enhanced parenting skills and strategies to help co-regulate difficult emotions.
You can contact me for a 15-minute free phone consultation, so that we can discuss whether we could work together towards your goals.
I am an experienced family and couples therapist working with young people and adults who are experiencing distress in their relationships, and want to work on improving their communication, and the quality of their relationships.
I work with adults and adolescents together and individually with a focus on re-connecting family relationships, resolving misunderstandings and developing new ways of being together where troubled relationships have been stuck in unhelpful patterns for some time.
I have worked in CAMHS services for 12 years, helping young people with a range of emotional and mental health difficulties. I currently work part-time as a Senior Family Therapist in an NHS Young People Eating Disorders Service in London.
I supervise other therapists both in the NHS and privately.
I also offer skype and online therapy and advice.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
