I am an integrative hypno-psychotherapist and employ techniques from different therapies to provide a holistic approach. I believe that as we go through life’s challenging experiences we respond to our needs with the resources we have at the time. If repeated often enough this can become an automatic go-to strategy. Problems arise when the strategy is no longer serving you and you can’t simply tell it to change. I can help you to become aware of and change any non-serving coping strategies and with the support of the therapeutic relationship, help you to heal and release any painful or vulnerable feelings that the strategies may have buried. I focus on relaxing and self-calming techniques and enhancing your self compassion to foster healthy relationships with the different parts of yourself and your external relationships. This will help with self-understanding, nurturing and acceptance, a way of managing your emotions and thought processes so you can create and implement changes in your life going forward.

My background is in opera performance and it was my interest in managing performance anxiety that brought me to therapeutic self-help books. I lacked the self-motivation so signed up to therapy school where I could not only learn what I needed for myself but could then share the process with others. That decision was made in 2011 and I’ve not looked back. I am passionate about Psychology and what drives us, coupled with my genuine interest in helping others, I have found my calling.
