About Me

I am a UKCP Psychotherapist and Psychological Coach who has a wealth of experience working with adults, young people and couples spanning 18 years. Louise offers long and short term psychotherapy for the full range of issues including depression, OCD, and eating disorders. She uses an integrative approach offering solution focused therapy, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness based techniques, is a trained Cognitive Behavioural Coach (AC). I am informed by attachment understanding and a full qualified DDP Practitioner status and Theraplay informed. I have also added EMDR with levels 1-3 to my skill set. I am also skilled in Sensory Art Psychotherapy as an additional bottom up approach to supporting trauma.
Louise’s work with younger people includes clients in the care system as well as being a LINK adoption counsellor for Barnardo’s. I have been a counsellor for Sussex YMCA both in a primary school and community setting.
Louise’s professional and engaging manner is extremely effective at winning the trust of younger and older people alike.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have been offering work in this area for over 13 years, a skill that I acquired through working initially via Link Barnados. Since then, I have been supporting families around attachment applying the methods from DDP and Theraplay to support increased attachment.
I offer an attachment informed and cognitive behavioural integrated approach that provides a structured platform to understanding the issues that couples face and weave in further attachment understanding to couples.
I have developed an understanding of the complexity of disordered eating in the last 10 years and have had good outcomes for children and families. I am a good option where the FEDS waiting list is too long.
Having developed a real understanding of trauma, EMDR has proved itself repeatedly to support with a variety of challenges ranging including PTSD.
I have been offering supervision for 5 years specifically to therapists working with young people and children. I offer a creative approach to the work and support therapists through the accreditation process.
