My Approach

19 years into this work, and what I know is this: therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. I've worked across the NHS, the charity sector, and private practice. That range has given me experience with the full spectrum of what brings people to therapy—relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, life transitions, alongside deeper specialist expertise in complex trauma, bereavement and loss, eating-related issues, addiction, menopause, and working with young people and young adults.

I'm an integrative psychotherapist, which means I draw on what actually fits you—whether that's somatic approaches, attachment-focused work, psychodynamic exploration, CBT, energy psychotherapy, EMDR standalone techniques or insights from current neuroscience. The approach emerges from your needs, not a fixed protocol.

I'm particularly drawn to working with people who haven't found traditional talking therapy helpful. If you're neurodivergent, if previous therapy felt like it missed something essential, if you need a different way in - I understand. My consulting room is set up for creative approaches, and if a cat curled up nearby would help you settle, mine are happy to oblige.

My style is collaborative and grounded. I bring experience and clinical tools; you bring self-knowledge and openness. The goal isn't just to feel better in the room, it's to leave therapy equipped to navigate life's challenges long after we've finished.

I know reaching out can feel hard. Over the years clients have consistently told me they felt I was genuinely alongside them, supporting, not judging, and advocating when required. No issue is too big or too small to bring.

My premises is at ground floor level, has parking and is easily accessible by public transport.
