Psychotherapy is a talking therapy and a collaboration between you and I. It is a space to pause, reflect and tune into what's happening consciously and unconsciously. I understand that emotions and thoughts can be painful and talking about these seem risky but people do often experience relief in doing so. Client pathways are personal and therefore will vary though commonly individuals often rediscover vital aspects of themselves, more enjoyment of life and find new ways forward with lifes challenges. I have been a Psychotherapist for 14 years and have 20 years experience in the NHS ( London) as a health adviser/therapist, this has brought me in touch with a wide range of people, experiences and situations.
People can become lost in worrying about the future and weighed down by thoughts from the past. You may have the feeling that everything is wrong and or are being greatly challenged due to a life event, medical issue or relationship problem. You may have people around but don't feel able to discuss what is happening or access the understanding you need. It is possible to be liberated from thoughts and to feel understood and more at ease with yourself . I offer a talking therapy where we can explore together what's happening emotionally, physically and in your mind and a space through which you can uncover a healthier, happier, more confident version of 'you'.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
