I am a fully qualified UKCP Registered Gestalt psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience in this field, and supported by 14 years of working as a Registered general nurse. I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space for you to explore what may be troubling you.
I work with people who are struggling with different life situations, addictive behaviours, alcoholism, chronic illness, depression, anxiety, bereavement and many more, to empower and resource themselves so that change is possible. I am here to listen and encourage you to become more attuned to your inner needs, providing you with greater freedom of choice and creativity.
In life we repeat patterns of behaviour, ways of relating to others that become habit. Together we can be curious about these subtle relational moments (that we normally ignore or make assumptions about), exploring and discovering more about what may be occurring for you at that time. I help you to notice and assess how your responses both serve and restrict you, inviting kindness not blame.
My particular interest is in addictive behaviour and I am passionate about changing the way that we approach addiction today. I believe that compassion and kindness should be at the forefront.
I offer weekly therapy, either short-term or open ended, to fit with your needs.
My qualifications
Masters in Gestalt Therapy Theory Studies and Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy.
I completed three years of my training at Metanoia Institute and the final two years at the Gestalt Centre, London.
Level 1 training program in Internal Family Systems Therapy.
I am bound by the UKCP code of practice and ethics.
