My approach is humanistic, meaning I am led by you and I want to hear and understand you as fully as I can from your perspective. From this frame, I will work collaboratively and relationally with you towards the changes you want. Sometimes knowing and defining what you want can be the first step. The process can involve feeling validated, being with uncertainty at times, and some challenge where necessary, however is always paced to how you need the process to be. The ultimate goals are increased awareness and clarity, and a greater sense of choice and empowerment going forward. The mix though, is always unique.
I hold an MSc in Humanistic Psychotherapy and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapy gained from Metanoia Institute (Middlesex University) I integrate the modalities of Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, and Person-Centred. This enables me to provide a unique approach which I can tailor to individual needs.
I have come to be passionate about each of us having our own unique experience and personal meanings which shape us into who we are. I believe each of us can access choice over who and how we want to be, however many factors may make this extremely challenging. I aim to offer the safe therapeutic space necessary for you to make sense of your experience and emotions, and from this achieve greater fulfilment from your life and relationships.
