In therapy, we begin with what feels most real and present for you right now. We pay attention to your feelings, thoughts, and what is happening in your body, as this often helps us understand patterns that have been shaping your life for a long time.
My work is trauma-focused and sensitive to the impact that past experiences can have on your nervous system, relationships, and sense of self. During therapy, we may use experiential methods from Gestalt psychotherapy, and occasionally Brainspotting where appropriate.
We work carefully and openly, at a pace that feels right for you.
I have over 7 years of experience working with adults facing trauma, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions. Many people come to me when they feel stuck, unsettled, or affected by past experiences that continue to shape their present.
I offer a calm and safe space where you can speak openly about what feels difficult in relationships, within yourself, or in your body. We work actively with your experiences so that old patterns can be recognised and gradually changed, emotional wounds can begin to heal, and life can feel more manageable and meaningful.
My work is trauma-informed and grounded in Gestalt psychotherapy and Brainspotting.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
