We come together in this therapeutic space with curiosity, compassion, and the understanding that everything is interconnected. My practice is rooted in a trauma-informed and integrative approach, recognising that each person’s experience is unique and that healing unfolds differently for everyone, at the pace that is suited to you as the client
Working Integratively
As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities psychodynamic, existential, philosophical, behavioural, and other evidence-based approaches. This allows us to create a flexible, collaborative process that is tailored to your needs, whether you are a child, adolescent, or adult. Together, we explore the patterns, emotions, and experiences that shape your inner and outer world, finding the most effective way to support your wellbeing.
The language of the body is central to my work, internal, external, and in relationship. Our bodies hold trauma, stories and wisdom that words sometimes cannot reach. By including somatic awareness, movement, and mindfulness, we can deepen understanding and connection to self, allowing healing to occur on multiple levels: physical, emotional, and psychological. This is so important when working with children and young people
I believe that our surroundings are part of the therapeutic process. I work with and in my environment, which can mean taking therapy outdoors if that is best for my client
Who I Work With
I offer therapy for individuals, children, young people, and families, providing a compassionate and confidential space to explore challenges such as trauma, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, and personal growth.
I see clients in Hertfordshire and Essex and the surrounding areas, with therapy rooms in Wormley and Hoddesdon.
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience working in mental health and well-being. Six Years of my training focused specifically on therapeutic work with children and adolescents, and I continue to provide tailored, developmentally informed support for clients of all ages. I also hold qualifications in Therapeutic Life Coaching and Behavioural Practice, enabling me to integrate coaching and behavioural approaches into therapy when appropriate.
I am the CEO and Founder of the HABS Strength in Mind Charity, which provides emotional wellbeing and therapeutic support to over 50 schools across Hertfordshire. The charity’s ethos is built on accessibility and inclusion, ensuring that families, children, and adults who may be less financially able to access counselling can still receive the support they need, when they need it. We are also committed to supporting vulnerable individuals within our local communities.
In addition to my psychotherapy practice, I am a UKCP-registered Clinical Supervisor and offer supervision to other counsellors and psychotherapists.
My work is trauma-informed, somatic, and integrative, drawing on a range of modalities including psychodynamic, existential, and behavioural approaches. This flexibility allows me to adapt the process to meet each client’s unique needs and circumstances.
Alongside my clinical work, I deliver workshops, parenting programmes and wellbeing programmes within my community, a valued aspect of my practice that reflects my belief in giving back and supporting collective resilience.
I am a member of BUPA and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and receive regular clinical supervision and adhere to UKCP’s professional and ethical standards.
Fees: £65 per hour for individual sessions.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
