My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, shaped around you and what feels most helpful.
At the centre of my work is a steady, relational space where trust can build over time. This can be especially important if you find it hard to open up or don’t quite know where to begin.
Sessions may involve talking, creative exploration or gently noticing how emotions are experienced in the body. Sometimes therapy is about finding words, and sometimes it’s about sitting with what’s there until words begin to come.
I draw from psychodynamic ideas, attachment theory and neuroscience-informed practice to help make sense of patterns, relationships and emotional responses in a way that feels grounded and accessible.
I often support people experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma, questions around identity, neurodiversity, life transitions or difficulties in relationships.
For children and young people, I may use play, art or metaphor to support expression in ways that feel natural and safe. I also offer reflective sessions for parents and carers who want to better understand their child’s emotional world.
Therapy isn’t about fixing you. It’s about having space to be seen, held and understood and from there, beginning to piece things back together in a way that feels more like you. You don’t need to have the right words, just a sense that something in you is ready to be heard.
You don’t have to hold it all together.
Therapy for when things feel like they’re quietly falling apart.
I’m an integrative psychotherapist working with young people and adults who may appear to be coping on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck or unsure underneath.
You might not have clear words for what’s going on. Sometimes it’s simply a sense that something isn’t quite right.
I will meet you where you are, at a pace that feels manageable. Therapy offers a space to pause, breathe and begin to make sense of your experiences in a way that feels steady and supported.
I offer online sessions, as well as in-person appointments for those who prefer to meet face-to-face. Online therapy can be a flexible and accessible way to access support, wherever you are.
With over 17 years of experience across education, charities and private practice, I have supported children, young people, adults and families through a wide range of emotional challenges. My background includes working closely with children and families, including those with special educational needs, as well as within community and mental health settings. These experiences continue to shape how I understand emotional development, family dynamics and the wider systems that impact wellbeing.
I don’t believe people need to be “fixed.” Often, what is needed is space to be understood, to sit with what feels difficult and to begin making sense of it at your own pace.
I hold a Diploma in Child and Adolescent Counselling and an MA in Psychotherapy. I offer a warm, thoughtful and non-judgmental space where you can show up as you are, without pressure to have everything figured out.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
