My Approach

I draw on a range of relational theories and values, depending on what is the best fit for the individual, couple or family's needs. I am also trained in Non-Violent Resistance, and I often find that these ideas can be helpful when difficulties are arising around parenting and relationships with adolescents.
As a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist, I believe in going beyond purely listening and I share my ideas and experiences to create a collaborative and relational space. I would work with you to ensure we develop goals that align to the meaningful change you are hoping for, to maintain a clear sense of direction and purpose in our work together.
Developing a strong therapeutic relationship with clients in a secure space is a priority for me and I offer a free 20 minute telephone call where we can talk and find out what your expectations and goals are and if what I can offer is a good fit for you.

About Me

I am a compassionate and down to earth UKCP registered Family and Systemic Psychotherapist. I work with individuals, couples and parents of children or adolescents and other ways that people build families. Family and Systemic Psychotherapy can help to resolve conflict, ease distress, and support mental health. It can be a very helpful resource to parents of young people who are navigating emotional based school avoidance, neurodiversity, self-harm, depression and anxiety I have experience of doing this work in a CAMHS setting and within an inner London local authority.
I take a non-judgemental approach and understand that all people and relationships run into difficulties at some point. I ensure diverse beliefs and cultures are respected and that clients are seen as the expert of their own lives. I emphasise an anti-racist and anti-oppressive stance and attend to other contexts that might be influencing difficulties.
