My Approach

I believe that coming to therapy, whether for the first time or returning again, is a courageous step. Reaching towards vulnerability can feel daunting, and you do not have to navigate that process alone. I create a space where everyone feels heard, understood, and able to speak openly about what is happening in their lives and relationships.

My approach is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. I am interested not only in the challenges you may be facing, but also in the wider context around them, the relationships, experiences, patterns, and conversations that shape how we understand ourselves and each other. Together, we can explore why things might feel stuck, while making room for new perspectives, understanding, and change.

I work systemically, which means I pay attention to the connections between people, emotions, family experiences, communication, and the environments we live within. I recognise that our identities, cultures, histories, bodies, and relationships all influence how we experience the world and ourselves. I hold these stories with care and curiosity, creating a reflective and respectful space where difficult conversations can feel possible.

Above all, I aim to offer therapy that feels safe, honest, and human. A place where you can bring your experiences as they are, and where we can think together about what you hope might become different.

About Me

Hi, I'm Kaya.

I am a qualified Systemic Psychotherapist working with individuals, couples, and families. Alongside private practice, I have experience working within the NHS across a range of specialist services, supporting people through complex emotional, relational, and life experiences.

I have a particular interest in supporting people around identity and relationship experiences, including sexuality, gender, infertility, and the ways these can impact our sense of self and connection with others. I also work with psychosexual difficulties, both with individuals and couples, creating space for open and respectful conversations around intimacy, relationships, and emotional wellbeing.

I support people exploring the impact of sexual abuse, body image concerns, and eating difficulties, approaching these experiences with sensitivity, curiosity, and care. I also work with adopted, blended, and separating families, helping families navigate change, strengthen understanding, and consider how they would like to move forward together.

Alongside this, I work with neurodivergent individuals both during the assessment process and post-diagnosis, supporting people to make sense of their experiences, perspectives, identity, and the ways they relate to and move through the world.

Currently, I offer online sessions. Please get in touch to enquire about face-to-face availability.
