My Approach

I hold a BSc Degree in Integrative Counselling, which means when working in individual therapy I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches rather than relying on just one. This allows me to tailor our work to suit your unique personality, needs, and life experiences, so the support feels truly personal and effective.

I also have a Diploma in Transpersonal Couple Counselling. This approach offers a safe and compassionate space to explore relationship dynamics, process past hurts and work on differences causing conflict. The approach works to understand how early experiences may be shaping your connection today. It can help deepen emotional closeness and strengthen communication between partners.

To further support couples, I’ve trained in Couples Therapy for Depression, a structured model used within the NHS. This approach helps partners navigate the impact of depression on their relationship, break unhelpful cycles, and use their bond as a source of healing and resilience.

I’ve also completed training in Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), which focuses on improving relationship dynamics and emotional well being through the lens of current life events and social roles. IPT is especially helpful for short-term work, offering a structured and focused way to address issues like grief, role transitions, and interpersonal conflict. It complements my broader approach by providing clarity and direction when clients are seeking support with specific challenges in a time-limited way.

I’ve also completed numerous mindfulness training's to support my client work. Mindfulness is a gentle yet powerful tool that helps you slow down, tune into your thoughts and feelings, and respond with greater clarity and compassion. It beautifully complements my integrative and attachment-based approach by encouraging emotional awareness, self-compassion, and present-moment reflection. This supports the exploration of early relational patterns and helps create the emotional safety needed to regulate, reflect, and build more secure ways of connecting, with yourself and others.

About Me

Individual & couples counsellor. Offering In person, online or telephone. Both long & short term counselling.

I’m a qualified counsellor with 15 years of experience, and I understand how hard it can feel to reach out for support. Taking that first step isn’t easy, but it can also be the beginning of real change.

Counselling was an important part of my own journey, I learned how to give myself permission to feel, to reflect, find clarity and to accept myself. That’s the kind of safe, supportive space I aim to offer you too.

I often work with people experiencing difficulties in their relationships, whether with a partner or another important person in their life. Sometimes this stems from a major life change, such as a separation, bereavement, family struggles, or conflict. I find such events can cause anxiety, depression and low self esteem. Other times, it may be that familiar patterns keep showing up, leaving you feeling stuck. Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to go through it alone.

In our work together, you’ll have a space to talk openly, feel heard, and begin to make sense of what’s happening for you. We can explore both the challenges you’re facing right now and the experiences from the past that may still be shaping your life. My hope is to help you understand yourself more deeply and find new, healthier ways of relating—to yourself and to others.
