As an accredited psychotherapist and counsellor with over 20 years’ experience in professional practice, perhaps I can help with distress you might be experiencing due to eating disorders, addictions, compulsive behaviour and traumatic stress. My experience includes working in private practice and in specialist clinics. This has included leading both the eating disorder service and the addiction service of Priory Hospital Roehampton.
To support recovery and the wider family, I also offer psychoeducation and therapy groups for families.
Taking a first step to seek therapy can feel daunting but, in practice, therapy tends to consist of curiosity, connection, exploration, self acceptance and humour. Feel free to contact me to arrange an informal conversation via Zoom or telephone to discuss how we might work together.
I had an initial professional background in the commerical sector before I retrained in psychotherapy. Since then, I have accrued over 20 years’ experience in professional practice. As an integrative contemporary psychotherapist, my post-graduate training is wide ranging. I am reminded daily that everyone’s experience of life and it’s challenges is intensely unique. Therefore, I continually add to my therapetic skill set so that I can avail of a broad range of evidenced approaches in our work together.
People tend to contact me because they are experiencing distress associated with eating disorders, addiction, compulsive behaviour and/or traumatic stress.
I work remotely with clients across and outside the UK. For inperson sessions, I work from The White Hart Clinic in Barnes, London SW13 and I also work as a Psychotherapy Consultant at The Soke clinic in Chelsea, London.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
