My Approach

I work in a psychoanalytic, relational way. Change, in my experience, comes less from being told what's wrong and more from thinking together, over time, attending to the patterns, and their links to early experience, that shape your relationships now, opening up the possibility of understanding and of something different.

I usually suggest two or three initial sessions so we can each get a sense of whether this is the right fit - for you to see how I work, and for me to form a view on whether I can help. From there, I see people once, twice or three times weekly.

I don't work from normative or reductive views of gender, sexuality or identity, and I pay close attention to the real impact of systemic inequalities on the people who come to see me

About Me

I offer a space to think together about what is troubling you. We can attend to this and, over time, to patterns in your relationships, and the early experiences that might shape them. I work as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in private practice in Archway, Walthamstow and online. I also work at a specialist service supporting adults affected by trauma, including survivors of childhood and institutional abuse.

Beginning can be a daunting prospect. You may have tried it before and feel there's more to explore, or you're arriving as a last resort because something painful has happened. Perhaps you feel lost, stuck or troubled, and want to understand why or how to move forward differently. To take the next step, get in touch to arrange an initial consultation, where we can explore what's bringing you to therapy and whether working together feels right.
