I am a psychotherapist that specialises in working with families, couples and young people.
I support families who are going through relationship challenges and need a safe space to explore possibilities of change within their dynamics. This may include parenting support, behaviour strategies and understanding unhelpful patterns of communication to find new ways to talk with each other. I have experience in parents who are going through seperation with children involved and need help with navigating this change.
I use an emotionally focussed approach with couples who are experiencing difficulties in their relationship. We can do this through looking at communication issues, emotional distress or patterns that are no longer supportive. I have experience with working with couples who are facing a wide range of dilemmas and aim to create a non judgemental and gentle space where each person feels heard and able to express their needs.
My experience with young people is extensive and I have covered areas such as mental health issues concerned with anxiety, low mood, self harm, eating disorders, suicidality and identity issues. Often the focus is with the family but I do also offer 1:1 sessions where it is felt to be the required treatment.
My intention is to create a space that is confidential and safe to talk about the concerns that bring us together and to help you to find new and useful ways to move forward.
