My work is grounded in Transactional Analysis (TA), a collaborative approach that explores how we think, feel, and behave, and how patterns from our past can continue to influence our lives today.
At the core of my practice is the belief that everyone has inherent worth and the capacity for growth and positive change. Together, we will explore your “Life Script,” the unconscious blueprints and survival strategies formed in early life that may now be causing patterns of anxiety, restriction, or distress in your adult world. Bringing these hidden patterns into conscious awareness offers the opportunity to rewrite your story and discover more liberating choices for your life ahead.
I work alongside you with warmth, transparency, and equality, providing a structured and supportive environment to explore anxiety, relationships, grief, identity, neurodivergence, and the experiences or patterns that may be affecting your life today.
I am a Transactional Analysis Psychotherapist specialising in relational TA, providing psychotherapy and counselling for adults. I have particular experience supporting people with bereavement and complex grief, oncology and the psychological impact of cancer, ADHD and neurodivergence, gender identity and transition, anxiety, relationships, and self-esteem.
My practice is anchored by professional experience working as a counsellor with Cruse Bereavement Support, supporting people experiencing bereavement, grief, and loss. This includes complex grief, anticipatory grief, prolonged grief, sudden or difficult loss, and the anxiety, loneliness, or changes to relationships that can accompany bereavement.
I have also provided dedicated psychotherapeutic care for Macmillan Cancer Support, supporting people through the emotional and psychological impact of oncology, including diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. This can involve anxiety and uncertainty, living with serious illness, changes to relationships and identity, adjusting to life after treatment, terminal illness, and fear of recurrence.
I also work with ADHD, autism, and neurodivergent adults, including people exploring neurodivergence or receiving a diagnosis later in life. Therapy can provide space to explore masking, sensory overload, feeling overwhelmed by everyday demands, ADHD or neurodivergent burnout, emotional regulation, anxiety, relationships, and self-esteem. A late diagnosis can also raise questions about identity and lead to a different understanding of experiences and patterns throughout your life.
Across my four years as a university therapist and private practitioner, I have been privileged to support individuals at various stages of their gender transition journeys, as well as people questioning or exploring their gender identity, sexuality, relationships, and sense of self.
I accept major private healthcare insurance referrals, including AXA Health and Aviva.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
