My Approach

I provide a safe space for you to explore what is going on. I work in a mindful way to reduce any anxiety you may be feeling and, if you would like, we can be creative using visualisation, art materials and toys to help you unlock things that you may not be able to put into words.

I can help with feelings of anxiety, depression, loss or a general sense that you could feel better somehow. I also support people who don't know what they feel but know something isn't quite right and people with identity issues, ageing fears and past or present trauma.

I work in a very inclusive and theoretically integrative way with people with all kinds life experiences, backgrounds, identities and cultures. It is your experience of life that I am interested in, and I aim to help you to gain some insight, understanding and strength in your own life. Do get in touch - I'd like to hear from you.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I provide a confidential space for people who are considering withdrawal from short, medium and long term anti-depressant use to discuss their fears and hopes. I support people to make their own decisions and support them in having discussions with relevant medical professionals. I keep updated on all the latest research in this complex and difficult area of anti-depressent withdrawal and have experience of safely supporting people to withdraw.
I am a trauma informed and experienced psychotherapist and work with clients to support them to find a place of safety in the here and now. My work is based on the latest research in how trauma impacts us both psychologically and physically. I am experienced in working with people with chronic pain conditions and other forms of somatic, physical indications of emotional pain.
