I am an experienced psychotherapist offering a warm, thoughtful and confidential service for adults. I work primarily online, enabling clients to attend regularly without the additional time and disruption of travelling.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be experiencing anxiety or depression, struggling in a relationship, dealing with loss or significant change, or finding that familiar patterns continue to repeat. Sometimes there is no single identifiable problem—only a sense of unease, of feeling stuck, or that life is not as manageable or fulfilling as it once was.
I have particular experience of working with women facing fertility difficulties, IVF, decisions about starting a family, and the emotional and relationship pressures these experiences can create. I also work with people dealing with separation, divorce, affairs and betrayal, menopause, bereavement and other significant changes in their personal lives.
Many of my clients are also professionals, business owners or senior leaders who appear to be coping while privately struggling with pressure, confidence, relationships or a loss of direction. Alongside my psychotherapy practice, I have held senior and board-level business roles and work in executive coaching and leadership development. This gives me a practical understanding of demanding working environments and of how professional and personal pressures can affect one another.
Therapy offers a space in which we can explore what is happening. The starting point is always what you would like to bring. Together, we can begin to untangle difficult thoughts and feelings, understand experiences that continue to affect you, and recognise patterns in how you relate to yourself and others. Greater awareness can create more choice in how you respond and how you move forward.
My approach is integrative, drawing particularly on psychodynamic, person-centred and existential thinking. This allows us to consider your present circumstances alongside earlier experiences and relationships that may be affecting your life now.
I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy. Short-term work may be appropriate when there is a particular issue you want to address. At other times, working more deeply and without a predetermined end date can be the space needed to understand difficulties that have developed over many years. We can decide together what feels appropriate and review the work as it develops.
The first session allows us to discuss what brings you to therapy and your hopes for it - and provides an opportunity to experience how we would work together.
I also offer individual and group clinical supervision for qualified and trainee counsellors and psychotherapists.
